Lately, I have become a big fan of
exergaming. I have never been very good at exercising, but I have been doing quite well with
EA Sports Active. Believe it or not, the exercises are actually quite intense. There have been more than a few moments when my muscles were shaking because of the workout (just try a 40 second squat hold at the end of a 30 minute workout). Earlier this week, I completed the 30-day challenge on the intermediate level! Now it is time to move on to the next level.
I haven't done many of the exercises on
Wii Fit, but I do a body test (weight, BMI, balance) every time I exercise. Soon I'll try out the strength training and yoga to see how well I like it.
Exergaming is an excellent option for indoor exercising. When the weather gets a little better, I'll probably do some running outside, but for now, it's exergaming for me!
